Lecturer - Business Administration (Higher Nitec)

About the role

ITE College East is recruiting a Lecturer for its Higher Nitec in Business Administration course, which has two specialisations: Human Resources and Financial Services. The role is a 2-year contract. Beyond teaching, the lecturer helps recognise and nurture students' potential and lifelong learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, practical lessons that give students industry-relevant knowledge, digital capabilities and workplace skills.
• Contribute to curriculum and assessment development.
• Undertake industry or consultancy projects to stay current with industry practice and keep strong links with industry and schools.
• Take part in industry attachments and professional development.
• Mentor students, support co-curricular activities, career guidance and other developmental work.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Able to teach two or more of the subjects listed for the chosen specialisation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for developing students.

Required skills

• Human Resource specialisation: talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, payroll administration, employment law and HR policies, employee engagement, learning and talent development, human resource analytics.
• Financial Services specialisation: financial products and services, personal and commercial general insurance, investment risk and management, general insurance claims processing.
• Advantageous: business application tools such as Microsoft Excel, business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI, business process automation, digitalisation, RPA, generative AI, blockchain, FinTech, entrepreneurship.
