Lecturer - Community Care & Social Services

About the role

ITE College East is recruiting a Lecturer in Community Care & Social Services. Beyond teaching and facilitating learning, the lecturer plays a key role in recognising and nurturing students' potential and their lifelong learning needs. The position is open to full-time employment only.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate learning in Community Care & Social Services.
• Carry out industry or consultancy projects to stay relevant in the profession and keep up with industry changes.
• Maintain strong links with industry and schools.
• Take part in regular industry attachments or experiences to update professional skills, knowledge and practice.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of relevant experience working with individuals with special needs or disabilities.
• An advantage: experience as a Job Coach, Special Needs Teacher, Learning Support Educator, or in vocational, educational or employment support services for persons with special needs.
• Good and relevant experience may lead to Senior Lecturer or equivalent positions, with career development toward leadership roles in the Colleges or Headquarters.
