Lecturer / Senior Lecturer - Biologics & Process Technology

About the role

Nanyang Polytechnic is recruiting a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Biologics & Process Technology within its School of Applied Science. You will play an active part in the academic, professional and personal development of learners, preparing them for work and life, including developing Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education & Training (CET) curricula, delivering courses and working on industry projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop courses, including curriculum design, face-to-face and online delivery, and project supervision
• Prepare and grade assessments and supervise learners in their daily coursework
• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and use interactive digital tools such as Kahoot and Mentimeter
• Act as a personal mentor, supporting pastoral care and handling day-to-day administrative matters
• Take part in school committees and projects, and spearhead new industry collaborations and project development

Required profile

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in biologics manufacturing, especially upstream and/or downstream processing
• Relevant qualification in science or chemical engineering
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt and multi-task
• Experience in teaching and curriculum development in areas such as Biologics Upstream or Downstream Operations, AI or Digital Skills for Process Industry, and Data & Statistical Methods
• An advantage if the candidate has relevant experience and proficiency in analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau
