Lecturer – Tourism & Resort Management (2‑year contract)

About the role

This is a two‑year contract position as a Lecturer in Tourism & Resort Management within the School of Business & Accountancy. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality education to full‑time, part‑time, and adult learners, preparing them for careers in a rapidly evolving tourism sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum, including online courses, and design assessments for diverse student cohorts.
• Supervise student projects and internships with industry partners.
• Provide counseling, mentorship, and career guidance to support student development and external engagements.
• Participate in academic administration, committee work, outreach activities, study trips, and ad‑hoc projects aligned with the school’s mission.
• Leverage industry networks to integrate real‑world experiences through learning journeys, project collaborations, internship placements, and consultancy projects.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the tourism and hospitality industry.
• Agile team player with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated project‑management skills and keen attention to detail.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, data analytics, and digital marketing, as well as sustainable destination management and placemaking.
• Proven track record in creating upskilling programmes and maintaining an extensive industry network.
• Experience in coaching or mentoring youth is an advantage.
• Knowledge across service experience design, tourism marketing, communications, research, and data storytelling.
