Legal Counsel – Cloud Technology Transactions (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel on a 6‑month contract to support a leading technology client across the ASEAN region. The role will work closely with sales, services, and deals management teams to ensure smooth execution of cloud technology transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support to sales and services teams in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and other Asian markets as needed.
• Partner with Deals Management, Sales, and Global Legal Services to align contractual strategies.
• Negotiate and draft complex cloud technology agreements.
• Offer legal advice on data protection, privacy, and other regulatory matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws from a recognised university and admission to the Singapore Bar.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating significant cloud technology transactions.
• Strong knowledge of data protection and privacy legislation; familiarity with ASEAN regulatory environment is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, and strong communication skills.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment and collaborate with finance, sales, and other functions.
