Legal Counsel – Digital Advertising (Singapore)

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑minded lawyer to join Opera’s legal team and support the fast‑growing Opera Ads business. Based in Singapore and reporting to the General Counsel, this role will work closely with sales, product and business teams across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with commercial and sales teams to negotiate contracts, client agreements and manage disputes.
• Provide legal support to product and development teams to ensure compliance of tools, technologies and third‑party services used by the Opera Ads platform.
• Act as the primary legal business partner for the Opera Ads organization, overseeing compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.
• Deliver pragmatic, business‑oriented legal guidance while balancing commercial objectives in a fast‑paced ad‑tech environment.
• Report regularly to the General Counsel on key legal, commercial and compliance matters.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with an active licence to practice law; a U.S. law degree is a strong advantage.
• Minimum five years of experience providing legal support to commercial business operations.
• Strong fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Experience in digital advertising, ad tech or related technology sectors.
• Commercial mindset with ability to deliver pragmatic, hands‑on legal advice.
