Legal Counsel – In‑house Generalist (Singapore)

About the role

Doctor Anywhere is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its fast‑growing health‑tech legal team in Singapore. This generalist position blends legal advisory, contract management, regulatory compliance and the integration of AI tools into everyday legal work.

Key responsibilities

• Support one or more business units on operational, commercial and regulatory matters.
• Review, advise on and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts.
• Provide regulatory guidance across Singapore, Malaysia and other markets, covering data protection, healthcare laws, employment and insurance requirements.
• Develop, maintain and deliver compliance policies, guidelines and training.
• Monitor industry developments and assess regulatory implications of new products and services.
• Assist with due‑diligence requests from clients, partners and investors.
• Integrate AI and automation into legal operations using the team’s AI infrastructure.
• Conduct legal research on regulatory and contentious issues.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of legal and compliance experience, with a minimum of 2 years in an in‑house compliance role preferred.
• Called to the bar of the relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance or data‑privacy law is highly preferred.
• Unquestionable integrity and consistently high work standards.
• Curiosity, willingness to learn and ability to thrive in a start‑up environment.
