Linux Administrator & Build Engineer (Technical Engineering Manager)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Build Engineer Linux Administrator with VMware expertise to support, maintain and enhance enterprise infrastructure environments. The successful candidate will handle Linux server administration, VMware virtualization management, platform build activities, system performance tuning, automation and production support in a fast‑paced enterprise setting.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu) and perform OS patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation and hardening.
• Administer VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter – provision, configure and maintain virtual machines, clusters, and execute migrations, snapshots and disaster‑recovery tasks.
• Monitor server and VMware performance, conduct capacity planning and optimise resource utilisation.
• Develop and maintain build standards, automate routine administration using Bash, Python or Ansible, and support CI/CD and infrastructure‑as‑code initiatives.
• Participate in incident, change, problem and release management following ITIL processes, documenting runbooks and technical designs.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in Linux system administration and VMware virtualization.
• Open to Singaporean PR or local candidates.
• Preferred certifications: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
• Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure management skills in an enterprise environment.
