Logistics Executive – Wholesale / Distribution

About the role

A Japanese company established in Singapore in 1973, which supplies seasonings, frozen and processed foods, beverages, sweeteners and amino acids, is hiring a Logistics Executive in Central, Singapore. The role covers order fulfilment, freight coordination and supplier and customer liaison within wholesale, distribution and trading.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with and build strong relationships with suppliers and customers
• Coordinate with factories and customers on order fulfilment and resolve supply chain issues
• Negotiate freight and book shipments
• Advise on loss prevention and negotiate with insurers when needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date order fulfilment records

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in freight, logistics coordination or trade operations
• Good to have: working knowledge of marine cargo insurance and claims handling
• Preferably familiar with Incoterms 2020
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to travel occasionally for overseas business trips

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with SAP (HANA) / SAP Business One is an added advantage

What we offer

• Permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm
• Salary of SGD 3,500 to 4,000 (negotiable)
