Logistics & Raw Materials Specialist - Purchasing

About the role

We are seeking a Logistics & Raw Materials Specialist to manage the purchase and import of raw materials, intermediates, components and finished packages for our Singapore Manufacturing Plant. The role works closely with planning, procurement and scheduling teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all materials.

Key responsibilities

• Execute purchases of all raw materials and components for the plant, both internal and third‑party.
• Create and process purchase orders in SAP, track order status, quantities and delivery dates.
• Monitor shipments, update arrival schedules in SAP and coordinate with suppliers to resolve any deviations.
• Track ISO tank returns, demurrage charges and verify vendor invoices.
• Assess supplier performance on quality and reliability and share insights with Procurement.
• Investigate material issues, quality concerns and invoice discrepancies, driving corrective actions with internal teams and suppliers.
• Coordinate logistics with third‑party providers, conduct site audits and manage HS/DG documentation.
• Support digitalisation initiatives to improve purchasing efficiency and data quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business.
• 3‑5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain or operations.
• Strong knowledge of import procedures and material handling.
• Proactive communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• SAP (purchase order processing and shipment tracking).
