Maintenance Material Planning Specialist

About the role

Satair, a subsidiary of Airbus, is hiring a Maintenance Material Planning Specialist in Singapore. The role aims to maximise material availability while optimising inventory investment and cost savings across the IMS network, using customer technical data, fleet development plans and Airbus data products to improve forecasting accuracy. It is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure parts are available when needed while optimising inventory levels, investment and transportation costs.
• Use customer statistical and technical information to continuously improve planning forecast accuracy across the IMS network.
• Support the refinement of the IMS forecast and replenishment plan by interrogating customer technical data and maintenance plans.
• Build relationships with customer maintenance planning functions and MRO providers to obtain customer-specific inputs.
• Gather data from Airbus data products, link with other Airbus departments and ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Structure and share information clearly across the IMS network and work with the Solutions Planning function to improve base statistical forecasts.
• Consider customer fleet development plans to ensure adequate stock and help integrate new part numbers into the service.
• Respond promptly to customer and internal requests, monitor KPIs on material order activity, and assist the Solutions Delivery Manager with reports and customer meetings.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Aerospace or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of working experience.
• Understanding of aviation business, specifically spares supply chain management.
• Technical and process-oriented, able to interpret technical documentation and understand customers to propose creative solutions.
• Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and in a team.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of data analysis tools such as databases and Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of SAP R/3 is advantageous.
