Manager, AI & Data Strategy – Technical Product Manager for Responsible AI

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Manager to lead AI system reviews within its AI Governance Program. The role combines technical product management with solution engineering to ensure responsible AI deployment across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve processes for AI system risk assessment, controls verification, lifecycle governance, and reporting.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of both internally developed and third‑party AI systems for regulatory and policy compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify, evaluate, and mitigate AI‑related risks.
• Analyze AI system performance using SQL, data visualization, and statistical techniques to generate actionable insights.
• Monitor ongoing AI system risk status and control effectiveness throughout the lifecycle.
• Stay up‑to‑date with evolving regulatory requirements and ensure AI systems meet compliance standards.
• Provide expertise in mathematics, statistics, and regulatory frameworks as they relate to AI governance.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in AI/model development, risk assessment, data analytics, or related fields.
• Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline.
• Strong understanding of AI governance, regulatory frameworks, and model risk management.
