Manager - Digital Customers Platform

About the role

The Digital Customer Platforms Application Production Manager ensures the stability, availability and operational readiness of Great Eastern’s customer‑facing digital platforms. The role provides end‑to‑end governance of production incidents, changes and releases while mitigating operational and regulatory risks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high availability, reliability and performance of application platforms.
• Lead incident response, ensure timely resolution and communicate with stakeholders.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions, capturing lessons learned.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting and health‑check mechanisms.
• Coordinate application releases across infrastructure, security and business teams with minimal downtime.
• Investigate complex production issues, differentiate defects, configuration issues, process gaps and user behaviour.
• Perform impact assessments across platforms, products and services.
• Identify and execute improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and resilience.
• Ensure compliance with security, data‑protection and regulatory policies and support audits.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging threats and technologies to proactively safeguard the company.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing production environments for customer‑facing digital platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a data‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Understanding of security, data‑protection and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of mobile technology, IoT, app ecosystems and APIs (preferred).
• Familiarity with insurance processes, procedures and policies (preferred).
• High integrity, accountability and initiative to drive continuous improvement.
