Manager, Energy & Renewables

About the role

The Energy & Renewables division of EDB Singapore develops and implements strategies for new business opportunities in sustainable products, decarbonisation and new energies, working with global energy companies and external stakeholders to attract foreign direct investment. This is largely an individual contributor role supporting and implementing key activities with corporate clients, including some of the largest energy companies in the world, and reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Energy and Renewables.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute account management for a portfolio of companies, covering account development, project negotiation and execution, and client servicing
• Understand clients' needs, operations and structure to design and run client engagement strategies
• Prepare proposals, meeting talking points, reports, incentive processing, solution development, contract drafting and project monitoring
• Analyse regional and global industry trends and Singapore's value propositions to create partnership opportunities
• Coordinate with Account Managers and other EDB teams (Account, Global Ventures, Policy & Planning, Finance and Legal)
• Conduct market analysis of the oil & gas and/or renewables sectors, pre-empt client issues and recommend solutions
• Contribute to policy and product/service development discussions within EDB and the Singapore government

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline with relevant working experience
• At least 3 years of experience, preferably in the energy, chemical or natural resources industry, or in sales, business development and key account management
• Strong interest in the global energy industry and international climate change developments
• Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement
• Singaporean citizenship
