Manager, External Relations

About the role

The School's Manager, External Relations drives its external relations and stakeholder engagement strategies and manages events and initiatives that strengthen partnerships and raise the School's visibility as a hub for innovation, research and business education, locally and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Promote the College of Business/Nanyang Business School and lead strategies to advance its external relations agenda
• Cultivate partnerships for teaching and research, identify new collaboration opportunities and build relations with industry
• Run coordinated external relations programmes across the College and support networking at industry and research forums
• Act as the main administrative contact for external engagements and corporate partners
• Plan and run partner events: select venues, negotiate contracts, coordinate with the NTU Events Office and host visits from external parties
• Manage the external relations budget, including planning, accounts, expense tracking, invoice reconciliation and regular financial reporting
• Work with the marketing team on promotional materials and conduct post-event evaluations and reports
• Streamline workflows, support leadership and strategy development, and consult with College Management on industry partnerships

Required profile

• Degree from a recognised university
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in events management and partnership engagement
• Able to build and maintain networks of relationships and partnerships
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to influence internal and external stakeholders
• Strategic, creative and analytical thinker who can work within tight deadlines
