Manager, Logistics & Supply Chain Management

About the role

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) is recruiting a Manager for its Logistics & Supply Chain Management (LSCM) division. LSCM acts as an industry architect, developing strategies that position Singapore as a leading logistics hub and helping Beneficial Cargo Owners set up supply chain teams in Singapore. The official title of the role is Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse global trends in technology, business models, regulations and skills to inform Singapore's logistics and supply chain development strategies.
• Design value propositions and programmes encouraging companies in logistics subsectors such as freight forwarding, contract logistics and last-mile delivery to set up headquarters or business activities in Singapore, working with other EDB teams and external partners.
• Implement strategies, policy changes and industry development programmes with internal stakeholders and industry and government partners.
• Serve as the main EDB contact for a portfolio of corporate clients, overseeing account development, project negotiation and execution, and client servicing.
• Cultivate strategic client relationships, understand clients' needs and operations, and negotiate project opportunities that benefit both clients and Singapore.
• Offer standard or customised solutions to clients' requests and activate EDB, government and ecosystem partner resources to support client engagement.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in strategy, policy, research, industry development or a related industry such as logistics or supply chain management.
• Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking, with strong learning agility and the ability to turn qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights.
• Keen business acumen to identify opportunities for Singapore at an industry level.
• Project management and leadership skills, able to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple workstreams.
• Excellent written and oral communication, and strong interpersonal and influencing skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Adaptable, a good team player and an independent thinker.
• Experience in quantitative analysis is an advantage; the candidate should be Singaporean.
