Manager, Loss Adjusting Services

About the role

Sedgwick is looking for a Manager (Loss Adjusting Services) in Singapore, reporting directly to the CEO. The role covers developing technical support and strategy, growing the business unit, delivering services and leading a team of adjusters. It also involves full-lifecycle claim analysis, physical site visits and general marketing and business development with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a suitable file or claims load and maintain a high standard of professional work
• Investigate claims thoroughly, determine coverage and validity, and interview insured, claimants and witnesses
• Examine insurance policies and other documents to determine coverage
• Negotiate claims settlements in line with client contracts and prepare reports of findings
• Respond promptly to insureds, carriers and brokers within Sedgwick's KPIT and give technical advice to team members when needed
• Support business development and marketing as assigned, and build client relationships, partnerships and alliances
• Maintain best-practice claims procedures and ensure compliance with operations, CR and H&S procedures
• Drive change and improve operational efficiency, including through process improvement methodologies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or ACLA, CILA, CIP or ANZIIF certification
• Previous experience in a similar position, ideally in a business operating in similar markets
• At least 3 years of leadership or managerial experience
• Understanding of the insurance industry
