About the role

The Manager of the Office of SITizen Experience (Counsellor) leads the student counselling service, overseeing daily operations, complex case management, programme development and stakeholder engagement. This role combines clinical expertise with operational leadership to ensure timely, confidential, and high‑quality mental‑health support for students.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct counselling and crisis‑intervention services, especially for complex or high‑risk cases.
• Maintain accurate case notes, ensure confidentiality, and supervise case‑record management.
• Supervise junior counsellors, mentor them on handling complex cases, and oversee the counselling email inbox.
• Coordinate programme development, wellness preventive initiatives, and divisional events.
• Prepare and submit required reports and data (e.g., MOE reports, ITQ submissions) on schedule.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including mental‑health organisations and community groups.
• Contribute to strategic planning, process review, and innovation of counselling services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in counselling, crisis intervention, and managing complex client cases.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor junior counselling staff.
• Strong organisational skills with experience in case‑record management and reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and communication abilities.
• Commitment to student wellbeing and continuous professional development.
