Managing Director – Insurance & Construction Consulting

About the role

J.S. Held is seeking a Managing Director to lead high‑impact engagements across the insurance and construction sectors. The role involves delivering expert delay reports, guiding litigation support, and expanding the firm’s presence in the APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality expert delay reports and present findings to insurers, adjusters, brokers, and other stakeholders.
• Lead analysis of delay claims, reviewing methodologies and supporting documentation.
• Develop and maintain CPM schedules using industry‑standard productivity rates.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all deliverables.
• Mentor team members on scheduling, claims methodology, and best practices.
• Maintain and grow client relationships throughout the APAC region.
• Provide litigation support and expert testimony when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience preparing and analysing CPM schedules and construction claims.
• Strong background in construction projects, including energy and infrastructure projects worldwide.
• Established network of clients in the APAC region and prior experience working there.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business development plans.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
