Manufacturing Engineer I – Singapore

About the role

UCT is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to support its fast‑growing semiconductor manufacturing operations in Singapore. The role focuses on creating and optimizing documentation, assembly workflows, and ensuring product quality and compliance across the production line.

Key responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing‑ready documentation such as Sequence of Events (S.O.E.) and assembly process workflows.
• Provide technical direction and on‑the‑job training to production staff.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate the manufacturing engineering portion of system builds.
• Prepare and modify work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, and training curricula.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and cross‑functional teams to streamline build procedures and resolve technical issues.
• Inspect completed systems and partner with Manufacturing and Quality to ensure compliance with design, safety, and operational standards.
• Support project production to meet timelines and budgets, investigate issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in cost estimations, capital project planning, and evaluate Engineering Change Orders.

Required profile

• Broad knowledge of manufacturing practices, assembly prints, and Bill of Materials.
• Ability to create detailed manufacturing documentation and workflows.
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary coordination and customer interaction.
• Attendance and reliability are essential.
