Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

This Manufacturing Engineer role takes a leadership position within functional project teams, working with stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle. It covers solution design, capacity modeling, validation and manufacturing, while providing feedback on compliance and ensuring product quality and risk mitigation. The role applies advanced subject-matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and guide cross-organizational projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and/or provide expertise to functional project teams of manufacturing engineers and internal and outsourced development and manufacturing partners, covering the full product lifecycle from new product introduction to end of life, including solution design, capacity modeling, validation, tooling and manufacturing.
• Review product designs and project activities for compliance with manufacturing guidelines and standards, and give feedback when deviations occur.
• Identify problems and defects across manufacturing processes and outputs and help resolve them.
• Track performance metrics of manufacturing processes and report them to management.
• Expand relationships with internal and outsourced manufacturing partners and use results to improve product quality and reduce the risk of product failure.
• Provide manufacturing engineering leadership and domain expertise to cross-organization projects, programs and activities.
• Drive innovation and integrate new technologies into manufacturing engineering projects.
• Contribute to complex projects, exercise independent judgment in resolving business issues and setting policies, and mentor less-experienced staff.

Required profile

• Recommended four-year or graduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or commensurate work experience and demonstrated competence.
• Typically 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design and solutions or a related field.
• Preferred certifications: Six Sigma and APICS.

• Full-time schedule with no shift premium in Singapore.
