About the role
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer – Process to design, define and implement manufacturing processes for new home and personal‑care appliances. You will work within the Batam factory’s industrial team and collaborate with global R&D projects based in Singapore, the Netherlands or the USA.
Key responsibilities
- Lead all technical aspects of industrialisation, including design for manufacturing, assembly and testability.
- Define process specifications for new technologies and improve existing manufacturing systems.
- Manage and monitor process capabilities, conduct capability studies and develop work instructions, control plans and cycle‑time analyses.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, equipment, quality) to ensure robust processes and high OEE.
- Identify bottlenecks, initiate preventive and corrective actions, and drive productivity improvement projects.
- Provide thorough hand‑over to operations after achieving stable results and support troubleshooting using structured root‑cause analysis.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- 6–10 years of experience in process development for product assembly.
- Proven experience working in cross‑functional project teams and leading technical discussions remotely.
- Familiarity with Design for Six Sigma/DMAIC, Design for Manufacturing, Lean manufacturing and risk assessment tools such as FMEA.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, statistics and process capability studies.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities using structured root‑cause methods (PRIDE, 5 Whys, Tree Diagram).
