Manufacturing Equipment / Production Engineer

About the role

Micron is hiring a Manufacturing Equipment / Production Engineer for its Fab10 facility in Singapore. You will plan, schedule and implement new tool installations, relocations and chamber retrofits to improve equipment performance and drive continuous improvement in your process area. You will also oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and implement new tool installations, relocations and chamber retrofits
• Own and develop equipment maintenance procedures and schedules
• Keep records of equipment manufacturer technical notices, upgrades and safety issues, and study equipment performance and reliability
• Establish programs and solutions to increase uptime and solve equipment problems affecting production
• Provide technical support to equipment repair and process engineering teams
• Work with process owners to reduce defects, improve availability and deliver cost-reduction projects
• Act as liaison between facilities, vendor representatives and shift personnel
• Develop new hardware, software and technologies with process owners and tool vendors
• Write and publish reports summarising equipment availability improvements and cost-reduction projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering or Science
• Willingness to work non-standard hours, such as compressed or 12-hour night shifts
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking skills
• Effective communicator who collaborates across all levels
• Growth mindset and interest in the semiconductor industry and Micron
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus; demonstrated leadership is highly desirable

• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly
• Contribution to continuous improvement, including testing and sharing AI-enabled enhancements
• Ensuring QMS/business process effectiveness, reporting performance to management and meeting customer requirements
