Manufacturing Procurement Site Lead

About the role

Amgen is looking for a Manufacturing Procurement Site Lead for its manufacturing site in Tuas, Singapore. You will lead procurement operations at the site and act as the key business partner between site leadership (Manufacturing, Facilities & Engineering, Supply Chain) and the global sourcing organization, ensuring procurement strategies meet both local needs and global objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement in procurement by identifying inefficiencies and implementing changes that improve manufacturing performance, speed and delivery.
• Champion a multi-year pipeline of savings and value plans aligned with category and business strategies and Finance's annual budget plan.
• Act as a trusted advisor to site executive teams and partner with Manufacturing, Facilities & Engineering, Supply Chain and other stakeholders.
• Manage supplier relationships for critical suppliers, identify and mitigate supply risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as GLP, GMP and ISO, including audits, inspections and quality control.
• Monitor procurement performance metrics, adjust to organizational goals and identify cost savings and process improvements.
• Lead sourcing for capital projects, including supplier selection, negotiation and contracting.
• Evaluate and implement process improvement, environmental sustainability and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Doctorate with 2 years of directly related experience, or Master's with 6 years, or Bachelor's with 8 years of directly related experience.
• Experience managing direct and/or indirect manufacturing spend categories.
• Experience in an international and cross-cultural environment.
• Change management experience in large, complex organizational transformations.
• Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships and collaborate across functions.
