About the role
As a Manufacturing Services Technician you will support Rolls‑Royce’s Singapore plant by installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production and auxiliary equipment. The role combines electrical, electronic and mechanical maintenance tasks to ensure continuous, safe operation of the facility.
Key responsibilities
- Install, commission and maintain production machines and auxiliary plant equipment.
- Perform corrective maintenance during production and scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Diagnose faults, replace or repair components, test and adjust machinery.
- Use hand and power tools, electrical meters and material‑handling equipment safely.
- Report abnormal conditions and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Support the Manufacturing Services Leader in all equipment maintenance activities.
Required profile
- Engineering NITEC certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of machine tools and proven experience in machine maintenance.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, asset‑management best practices and the Maximo system.
- Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) preferred.
- Willingness to work a three‑rotating‑shift pattern.
- Experience with CNC machines, vacuum furnaces, hot‑forming rigs, chemical lines, blasting/peening/spraying/polishing equipment, robotics and inspection machines (X‑Ray, geometrical, CMM) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean continuous‑improvement methodologies is a plus.
