Mechanical Design Engineer – Automation Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading automation equipment design and manufacturing company in Singapore. Two positions are available – one senior role and one regular role – focused on delivering innovative machine automation, robotic, and material handling solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise, coordinate and implement engineering projects to meet customer schedules and specifications.
• Participate in feasibility studies, prepare quotations, develop designs and drive product development to final presentation.
• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting, support and training for customers and internal teams.
• Lead a team of designers on new applications and concept development (senior position).

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years design experience for degree holders or 4 years for diploma holders.
• Proven ability to lead design teams (senior role).
• Experience in machine automation, robotic systems, material handling, and preferably fixtures & tooling.
• Strong problem‑solving and leadership capabilities.
