Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical components and systems for ammunition products. The role involves creating detailed 3D models, performing analyses, and supporting testing to ensure safety and performance standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for ammunition in line with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Produce detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Support design reviews, engineering change orders, and product improvement initiatives.
• Perform engineering analysis to validate design integrity, strength, and performance.
• Conduct and support functional, performance, and environmental testing activities.
• Apply Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to assess stress, deformation, and structural performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical design and product development (preferred).
• Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and mechanical design.
• Knowledge or hands‑on experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
