Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Hydroleap is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to improve its proprietary electro‑coagulation and electro‑oxidation systems and develop mechanical solutions for wastewater treatment plants. The role involves turning concepts into detailed designs that enhance efficiency, sustainability and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product specialists to innovate and refine electro‑coagulation and electro‑oxidation designs.
• Develop mechanical designs for pump skids, piping, valves and treatment equipment.
• Produce Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for projects.
• Apply ISO, ASME and local standards to ensure safety, reliability and compliance.
• Optimize systems for energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
• Support R&D initiatives and work closely with process, electrical and automation engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum three years of mechanical design experience, preferably in wastewater or process industries.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and material selection for corrosive environments.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and equipment.

Required skills

• 2D drafting with AutoCAD.
• 3D modeling with SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of CFD and FEA tools (preferred).
• Creation of PFDs and P&IDs.
• Familiarity with ISO and ASME standards.
