Mechanical Drafter cum Quantity Surveyor (Plumbing & Sanitary)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter cum Quantity Surveyor specializing in plumbing and sanitary systems to join our engineering team. The role involves creating detailed design drawings, managing project quantities, and ensuring cost‑effective delivery of plumbing works.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical plumbing and sanitary system drawings using CAD software.
• Develop and review system layouts and specifications.
• Perform quantity take‑offs, cost estimation, and budgeting for plumbing works.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, labour, and associated costs.
• Collaborate with project managers to align designs with project requirements.
• Assist in reviewing contracts and tender submissions for plumbing and sanitary systems.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and company standards.
• Monitor project progress and adjust designs or estimates as needed.
• Provide on‑site support during construction and address technical queries.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Drafter focusing on plumbing and sanitary systems.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant drafting software.
• Experience in cost estimation, quantity take‑offs, and budget management for plumbing projects.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
