Mechanical Engineer – Energy Plant Operations (Singapore)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading global energy company in Singapore. The role focuses on operating and maintaining large chiller plant and pump set equipment within an industrial energy facility.

Key responsibilities

• Execute large chiller plant operations and pump set maintenance.
• Maintain up‑to‑date SOPs and accurate maintenance records.
• Investigate, report and issue work orders for equipment defects and abnormalities.
• Plan and oversee subcontractor work, ensuring compliance with EHS and regulatory standards.
• Lead a team of technicians, delegating tasks and resources to meet daily operational needs.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and overhaul activities.
• Respond to emergencies as directed by the site manager.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant maintenance experience in industrial plant operations.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated with a teamwork orientation.
