Mechanical Engineer (Fire Engineering)

About the role

AECOM is looking for a Fire Engineer in Singapore to deliver high-quality consultancy services across a range of projects and sectors. You will apply fire engineering expertise to develop innovative fire safety solutions, building knowledge in fire dynamics, smoke control, human behaviour and evacuation modelling.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning, design and assessment of fire protection systems for buildings and industrial facilities
• Develop and support fire safety strategies, emergency response planning, fire risk assessments and compliance reviews
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and construction teams to integrate fire protection measures into project designs
• Carry out fire engineering analysis using tools such as Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) and evacuation modelling software, and prepare clear technical reports
• Support project delivery through construction inspections, stakeholder communication, quality assurance and identifying further work

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 1 year of hands-on design experience in building and/or infrastructure projects
• Fresh graduates are also welcome who are keen to work in fire protection design
• Good project management and technical skills
• Team player who can work independently with minimal supervision
