Mechanical Engineer (HRSG/BOP)

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will lead and execute statutory and non‑statutory mechanical maintenance for Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment across all CCP sites. The role ensures high reliability, availability and efficiency while complying with workplace safety, statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance and periodic overhauls of HRSGs, auxiliaries, tank farms, cooling water systems, chemical plants and compressors.
• Respond to unplanned breakdowns to minimise downtime and meet performance indicators.
• Prepare and review outage/overhaul programmes, set timelines and control budgets.
• Manage procurement of spares and services, certify receipt and completion, and support payments.
• Oversee OPEX, CAPEX and MTP budget monitoring and manage HRSG/BOP contracts.
• Ensure compliance with MOM pressure‑vessel guidelines, boiler licensing, ISO standards and internal IMS documentation.
• Conduct engineering risk assessments, process hazard evaluations and maintain asset and safety‑critical device registers.
• Provide technical leadership, on‑the‑job training and competency frameworks for the maintenance team.
• Enforce WSH rules, safe work procedures, PTW control and contractor performance.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board.
• Familiarity with local statutory requirements for pressure vessels, pipes and tanks.
• Knowledge of ASME and API codes governing HRSG and pressure equipment.
• Relevant safety certifications such as Confined Space Supervisor, Lifting Supervisor or Working at Height Supervisor.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety and health regulations.
