Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team developing material‑handling mechanisms for semiconductor and surface‑mount inspection equipment. The role involves full‑cycle product development from concept through to hardware assembly and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design and produce detailed drawings for mechanical parts, mechanisms and modules used in material handling.
• Assemble and test final hardware, and generate product drawings and project documentation.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to refine specifications.
• Evaluate and select appropriate manufacturing methods and materials.
• Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and optimise designs.
• Define and execute test plans for design verification.
• Apply machine‑vision concepts and requirements to designs.
• Perform thermal, structural, tolerance and vibration analyses.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanism design, custom machine development and fabricated parts.
• Proficiency in GD&T drawing and detailing (ANSI Y14.5).
• Intermediate to expert knowledge of PTC Creo, Windchill and SAP.
• Familiarity with semiconductor and surface‑mount assembly equipment design standards.
• Ability to work in a matrix organisation with global engineering collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Team‑oriented attitude and ability to collaborate with electrical, software and manufacturing engineers.
