Mechanical Engineer – Mould Development

About the role

Join The LEGO Group as a Mechanical Engineer focused on mould development. You will design and optimise precision injection moulds that produce the iconic LEGO bricks enjoyed by builders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to reorder moulds within LEGO Moulding Technology.
• Secure technical solutions that meet established engineering standards.
• Drive mould solutions towards internal platforms and promote continuous improvement.
• Develop and share best practices in mould development processes.
• Foster a collaborative culture emphasizing teamwork, LEAN principles, and productivity.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Plastic, or Tooling engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the moulding industry.
• Basic knowledge of injection mould design, manufacturing methods, moulding processes, and equipment.
• Understanding of plastic material behaviour.
• Experience with 3D CAD systems, preferably NX.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with process improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Lean or Agile.
• Knowledge of Teamcenter and SAP is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time.
