Mechanical Engineer – Rotating & Static Equipment (Jurong Island)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to plan and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance for rotating and static equipment at our Jurong Island plant. The role is critical to maintaining reliability, safety and performance of mechanical assets in a chemical/petrochemical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and carry out maintenance activities for pumps, compressors, gearboxes, agitators, fans, blowers, vacuum systems and HVAC equipment.
• Investigate equipment failures, implement corrective actions and drive reliability improvement initiatives.
• Support inspection and integrity programs for pressure vessels, tanks, reactors, heat exchangers, columns, piping systems and cooling towers.
• Coordinate mechanical shutdowns, turnarounds and CAPEX projects, including resource and contractor management.
• Maintain technical documentation, equipment history and reliability reports in SAP/GSAP/CMMS.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in chemical, petrochemical, polymer or manufacturing plants.
• Experience with plant shutdowns, turnarounds, commissioning and reliability programs.

Required skills

• Pumps, compressors, extruders, gearboxes, agitators, fans, blowers, vacuum systems.
• Mechanical seals, couplings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, HVAC equipment.
• Pressure vessels, tanks, reactors, heat exchangers, columns, piping, relief devices, cooling towers.
• Mechanical integrity, Fitness‑for‑Service (FFS), RBI, Safety Critical Element (SCE) assessments.
• Condition monitoring, vibration analysis, RCM, RCFA.
• SAP/GSAP/CMMS for asset data management.
