Mechanical Engineering Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team on Jurong Island. The role involves on‑site inspections, testing, commissioning and supporting maintenance of mechanical systems in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections to verify that installations follow approved drawings and specifications, and report any defects.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment, recording results and confirming compliance with design requirements.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, maintain inspection and progress reports, and update as‑built drawings when changes occur.
• Coordinate with supervisors and managers to resolve technical issues during work.
• Perform quality control inspections and support QA/QC activities to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications.
• Follow health and safety regulations, participate in toolbox meetings and ensure safe execution of mechanical work.
• Support maintenance during the defect liability period, troubleshoot equipment and recommend preventive maintenance practices.

Required profile

• Junior Executive level with ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Willingness to work on‑site and adhere to safety and quality standards.
