Mechanical Technician – Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

About the role

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability through both preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Working onsite, you will respond to equipment faults, perform scheduled maintenance, and keep accurate records of all work performed.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to equipment faults at the location of the equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to checklists and schedules.
• Inspect and verify tools before commencing any maintenance task.
• Troubleshoot and execute corrective maintenance for minor equipment issues.
• Update maintenance records for all preventive maintenance activities performed.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification such as NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to read and use schematics diagrams for troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of computers, operating systems and network concepts is a plus.
