MEP Manager - Data Centre

About the role

Turner & Townsend is recruiting an MEP Manager for a data centre project in Singapore. The role leads and manages all MEP works from design review through construction, testing, commissioning and handover, coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage MEP works from design review through construction, testing, commissioning and handover, and develop and monitor project schedules.
• Coordinate MEP activities with architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and stakeholders, identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Review designs, drawings, specifications and shop drawings for compliance and constructability, resolve technical issues and support coordination between MEP systems and other disciplines through BIM and clash detection.
• Evaluate value engineering opportunities to optimise project costs.
• Monitor installation works, conduct site inspections and progress reviews, and manage subcontractor performance and productivity.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and integrated systems testing, approve commissioning plans and reports, and support defect management and close-out.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, review variation orders, claims and progress payments, and support procurement and vendor selection.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes and EHS policies, and take part in safety audits, inspections and incident investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP project management within construction, data centres, industrial facilities, commercial buildings or infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing complex MEP installations and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in testing and commissioning of large-scale projects is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, building services and construction methodologies.
• Project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
