Merchant Onboarding Manager

About the role

Adyen is seeking a Merchant Onboarding Manager to act as a trusted advisor to commercial teams, shaping complex opportunities into scalable, compliant onboarding solutions across APAC.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end onboarding compliance solutioning (KYC, CDD, scheme setups) from assessment to sign‑off.
• Evaluate merchant risk profiles and build business cases for high‑value deals.
• Serve as primary operations contact for merchants, gathering requirements and driving milestones.
• Partner with Sales, Account Management and Compliance to deliver seamless onboarding journeys.
• Lead onboarding and expansion projects, managing timelines, dependencies and owners.
• Set standards for onboarding, document best practices and track metrics for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in commercial, compliance, advisory or project management.
• Fluent English (additional APAC languages a plus) with strong communication skills.
• Consultative mindset with sound judgement to balance risk and business growth.
• Excellent presentation, prioritisation and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of KYC, CDD, card‑scheme rules and risk compliance.
• Experience in payments, fintech or banking environments.
