Merger & Acquisition Operation Director

About the role

PwC's Deals Advisory Practice in Singapore supports clients through mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets, covering strategy, deal origination, transaction support, finance raising, integration and exit. This Director role covers the operational side of transactions, before and after completion, including pre-deal and confirmatory due diligence, large-scale enterprise-wide integrations and complex divestitures across functions such as IT, operations, human capital and back office.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze target data and practices, especially supply chain management, to identify improvement issues and opportunities
• Engage with target management and develop an understanding of the business
• Build and maintain client relationships and identify service opportunities to sell across business units and lines of service
• Develop the service offering to match market needs and carry out business development
• Support the team in improving ways of working and scale efficiencies across projects
• Sponsor assignments and experiences for team members and influence long-term client relationships

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in engineering, supply chain or operations management; MBA or equivalent is a plus
• Minimum 12 years of experience combining external consulting management roles and industry management roles in procurement, sales operations, manufacturing, supply chain, strategic and performance programs
• Proven track record delivering performance improvement projects with impact on EBITDA and cash flows (e.g. cost optimisation, footprint rationalization, purchasing cost optimisation, labour productivity)
• Post-merger integration or divestiture experience is a plus
• Commercially aware, with some financial accounting awareness; strong project and stakeholder management skills
