Middle Office Credit and Account Management Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Middle Office Credit and Account Management intern within its Global Corporate & Investment Banking Division, based in the Singapore office. The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and is open to Singaporean and PR students only.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the Middle Office workflow across APAC locations and draft SOPs, workflow maps and other department documents, including presentation materials.
• Ideate and build solutions to streamline and automate the MO CAM function, locally in Singapore and regionally.
• Support the development of regional and global credit risk frameworks, including resolving complex credit processes and credit operational issues.
• Support credit-related improvement projects, including updating credit processes and procedures to comply with applicable regulations.
• Support internal and external audits (Credit Examination, JFSA, MAS, BoJ, RBI, statutory etc.) by coordinating department activities and maintaining credit files.
• Keep up with industry trends, products and relevant laws and regulations, and adhere to company policies.
• Collect data and reports from regional offices and build databases supporting credit-related management information for management decisions.

Required profile

• Singaporean or PR student only.
• Strong ability to analyse reports numerically and statistically to identify strengths and weaknesses.
• Problem-solving with an innovative and pragmatic approach, good interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work independently and under time pressure, multi-task while keeping attention to detail with high accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Database management and dashboard building are an added advantage.
• Knowledge of structured finance and/or global markets products is an added advantage.
