Mobile Engineer - iOS (Public Sector)

About the role

As a Mobile Engineer at Xtremax you will create secure, high‑performance iOS applications that serve government agencies and public‑sector users. The role blends native iOS development with integration of Singapore’s digital services, ensuring compliance with IM8 security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain iOS apps using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Integrate mobile solutions with RESTful APIs and government platforms such as Singpass, SearchSG, MUIS Halal System and Quran.com.
• Implement push‑notification services and other native iOS capabilities.
• Build and optimise containerised build environments with Docker, handling macOS‑specific constraints.
• Ensure application security by following mobile security best practices and IM8 compliance.
• Deploy and operate applications on Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) AWS environments.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, QA, and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot, optimise performance, resolve defects and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional software engineering experience, primarily in iOS development.
• Strong expertise in Swift, SwiftUI and Xcode.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker for containerised builds on macOS.
• Proven track record integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs and Singapore government digital services.
• Experience with push‑notification implementation and mobile security practices.
• Familiarity with deploying applications on AWS/GCC and IM8 security standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Prior experience delivering public‑sector or government digital projects is highly preferred.
