MTS/Principal Engineer, Wet Process Engineering, NAND Advance Node

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring an MTS/Principal Engineer for its Wet Process Engineering team at Fab 10N/X, supporting NAND memory technology. The role covers experiments, material and chemical characterization, and support for process integration and fixing. It works with senior engineers and multi-functional teams to set process technology roadmaps and deliver silicon-based solutions for future memory products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project-level initiatives focused on developing WET processes
• Run complex experiments and support process integration under the guidance of senior staff
• Collaborate with various functions to enable technology transfer and process ramp-up
• Maintain accurate records of experiments and processes and write comprehensive technical reports
• Mentor early-career staff and support continuous improvement of existing processes
• Take part in multi-functional problem-solving teams and help document guidelines, SOPs and knowledge management systems

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or a related field; exceptional Masters/Bachelor candidates with extensive experience will also be considered
• 8 to 15 years of experience in WET process R&D in semiconductor TDD
• Deep understanding of process technologies such as vapor etch, wet strip, dry strip and selective chemical etching
• Experience fixing process issues, implementing corrective actions and supporting technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strategic thinking and leadership within the PD leadership team
• Preferred: a record of technical contributions, publications or patents

Required skills

• Familiarity with electrical evaluation methods and fab metrology tools such as CD-SEM, thickness measurement instruments and particle counters
• Knowledge management systems, SOP development and compliance with safety and quality standards
