NAND Silicon Design Validation Engineer

About the role

Micron is hiring a NAND Silicon Design Validation Engineer to join a team developing and validating NAND Flash memory products. The role spans pre-silicon concept development and post-silicon validation, covering the full product lifecycle. It involves troubleshooting device testing programs, acting as the main contact for critical product issues, and bridging R&D, manufacturing, business units and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, validate and qualify new NAND Flash memory products
• Define and validate product configuration parameters
• Use CAD tools and Verilog simulations for build verification and circuit analysis
• Identify build marginalities and recommend circuit-related fixes
• Perform electrical failure analysis to find root causes of device issues
• Use engineering benches and testers for device characterization and failure analysis
• Support preparation of engineering samples
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work and share AI-enabled improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Physics
• Strong foundation in semiconductor device physics and circuit building
• Experience with pre-silicon emulation and RISC-V CPU design projects
• Hands-on experience with Verilog and Cadence tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• PyTorch, TensorFlow, SystemVerilog, Linux and Bash
• JMP and Python for data analysis
• Familiarity with AI/ML efficiency tools and baseline digital proficiency
