Network and Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Network and Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement and maintain secure network infrastructures supporting UAV and aerospace systems. The role ensures high availability, robust connectivity and compliance with aerospace and defence security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain network infrastructures for UAV and aerospace platforms, ensuring high availability and secure connectivity.
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and controls aligned with organisational standards and industry regulations.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, security audits and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with UAV systems engineers to integrate security measures such as network segmentation, encryption and access controls.
• Monitor network traffic and respond to cybersecurity incidents using advanced detection tools.
• Provide technical guidance and support for network and security issue resolution.
• Document network configurations, security procedures and incident response protocols.
• Research, test and implement new technologies to continuously improve network and security infrastructures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in network engineering and cybersecurity within aerospace, defence or other high‑security environments.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, firewall technologies and VPNs.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
• Experience with UAV system networking is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork.
