Network Engineer (Network Security) – Contract

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer specialized in network security to join our team on a contract basis across Singapore. You will be responsible for configuring, implementing and maintaining a range of security platforms while ensuring compliance with best‑practice standards.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion‑prevention systems, web application firewalls, web proxies and DNSSEC.
• Assess security advisories, provide recommendations and ensure devices follow security best practices.
• Conduct periodic vulnerability testing, remediate findings and review security logs for operational issues.
• Patch security devices regularly to keep firmware up‑to‑date.
• Resolve incidents and service requests within SLA, maintaining up‑to‑date work instructions.
• Drive operational efficiency through automation and generate routine security reports.
• Secure internet access for users and servers and support new security initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering, IT or Computer Science with at least 5 years of enterprise IT experience.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, Cisco CCIE, PCNSE or ITIL v4 are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of network security devices and hands‑on experience with at least two of the listed technologies.
• Experience with web proxy technologies, CCNP, network automation (e.g., Ansible) and monitoring/logging tools (e.g., ELK).
• Solid background in systems engineering, administration, networking and security.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues quickly.
