Neuroimaging Technologist

About the role

The Cognitive Neuroimaging Centre (CoNiC) at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Neuroimaging Technologist to support cutting‑edge EEG, MEG, fNIRS, fMRI and MRI research. You will ensure smooth operation of multimodal neuroimaging equipment, maintain data quality, and assist researchers and participants throughout experiments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage scheduling and rescheduling of MRI, EEG, fNIRS, TMS and MEG bookings.
• Oversee collection, dissemination and quality assurance of neuroimaging data (MRI, EEG, fNIRS, fMRI, TMS, MEG).
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, data acquisition and equipment maintenance.
• Provide technical support for experimental setups and participant preparation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with all neuroimaging modalities.
• Conduct training sessions for new users on equipment use and safety.
• Collaborate on outreach programs with hospitals and schools.
• Update the CoNiC website, report equipment utilisation and organise stakeholder meetings.
• Undertake ad‑hoc tasks as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging, Radiography or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience operating MRI and other neuroimaging equipment.
• Ability to perform MRI scans independently.
• Strong record‑keeping and data integrity practices.

Required skills

• MRI scanning and operation.
• EEG, MEG, fNIRS, fMRI and TMS equipment handling.
• Familiarity with functional neuroimaging programming tools such as E‑Prime and PsychoPy.
• Experience with image‑processing software for functional neuroimaging.
• Capability to train users and support neuroimaging data analysis.
