New Product Introduction Engineer

About the role

The New Product Introduction Engineer will ensure that production machines and automation systems operate at peak performance to support defect‑free manufacturing. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to integrate new automation solutions and drive smooth product ramp‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise production machines and automation systems for reliable, defect‑free operation.
• Validate system performance, reliability and functionality through testing.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on‑site, perform root‑cause analysis and coordinate with suppliers for remote support.
• Oversee installation, integration and setup of robotics, control systems and related software.
• Support NPI activities by providing automation expertise for seamless implementation and ramp‑up.
• Ensure machines meet targeted Units Per Hour, cycle time and quality standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and provide ongoing technical support.
• Collaborate with production, quality, engineering and project management teams to define requirements and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain documentation such as system designs, troubleshooting guides, test plans and SOPs.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent project‑management, documentation and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.
