Nurse Clinician (Ward)

About the role

NUHS is recruiting a Ward Nurse Clinician. The incumbent coordinates, directs, plans and evaluates the standards of care given to patients, works with the multidisciplinary team to achieve desired health outcomes, and guides Assistant Nurse Clinicians and below. The role also involves mentoring nurses and supporting the AD/SNM in monitoring clinical quality indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, direct, plan and evaluate the standards of care provided to patients
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve the desired health outcomes for patients
• Provide guidance and direction to Assistant Nurse Clinicians and below to ensure optimal care
• Be able to rotate into senior roles when required, depending on experience, competence and adaptability
• Lead and coach nurses towards clinical excellence through positive influence
• Foster inquiry, critical thinking and skill acquisition to advance nursing practice and patient care
• Assist the AD/SNM in coordinating, implementing and monitoring clinical and service quality performance indicators

Required profile

• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
• Degree in Nursing or its equivalent; Advanced Diploma in Nursing or equivalent preferred
• Valid BCLS certificate
• Registered Nurse with at least 2 years' experience as a Nurse Clinician in a ward setting
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and a good work attitude
