Ocean Freight Import Officer – Junior Executive

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Ocean Freight Import Officer to join our logistics team in Toh Guan, Singapore. This junior‑executive position involves coordinating sea import shipments and ensuring smooth documentation flow for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate sea import shipments.
• Ensure accurate customer documentation and compliance with safety procedures.
• Prepare and process import documents such as HB/L, MBL, manifests, and customs declarations.
• Perform system data entry and resolve shipment issues.
• Communicate with customers, shipping lines, transport teams, and overseas offices for smooth deliveries.
• Ensure timely billing and collection of charges from customers or agents.
• Follow up on short‑landed, damaged, or discrepant cargo.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints.
• Prepare payment vouchers and close shipment files.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma qualification.
• Knowledge of import/export procedures and freight forwarding.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
